I'm planning to go back to Scandinavia to follow the path of King Harald.
Harald Hardråde (Hardruler) (1015-1066), fled to Costantinople as a 15-year old after having fought a battle in Norway in 1030. He came into the service of the Byzantine emperor and became an officer in his guards. Harald's great military feats became widely known and have been described in Byzantine sources.
As a 30-year old, Harald returned to Norway and brought with him an enormous silver treasure. He also brought with him knowledge of imperial power and strategy as well as cunning and intrigue from the Byzantine court.
I'm planning to make a "Knarr" in Anatolia. Then I will go back to Scandinavia with my eight friends, to follow the path of Harald Sigurtharson and other Vikings. This voyage will be the first sea and river trip which proving the historical Viking routes.

Viking Routes to Miklagard (Great City, Istanbul) on Map
The Viking routes to the Constantinople went down the great rivers from the Baltic, on the Dnepr to the Black Sea. Thus the Scandinavian Vikings met Turkic peoples.
The runic inscription in Hagia Sophia from around year 1000 AD gives a Scandinavian name, "Halfdan". Halfdan has been to Miklagard, in the service of the emperor. The inscription is a clear proof that Halfdan was here.

We decided to make oak "Knarr" in Kurucaşile. Kurucaşile is a town and district of Bartın Province in the Black Sea region of Turkey.

Kon-Tiki
The Raft.
In The Kon-Tiki Museum, Oslo.
Kon-Tiki was the raft used by Norwegian explorer and writer Thor Heyerdahl in his 1947 expedition across the Pacific Ocean from South America to the Polynesian islands. It was named after the Inca sun god, Viracocha, for whom "Kon-Tiki" was said to be an old name.
Heyerdahl believed that people from South America could have settled Polynesia in pre-Columbian times. Although most anthropologists as of 2010 had come to the conclusion they did not, in 2011, new genetic evidence was uncovered by Erik Thorsby that Easter Island inhabitants do have some South American DNA, lending credence to at least some of Heyerdahl's theses. His aim in mounting the Kon-Tiki expedition was to show, by using only the materials and technologies available to those people at the time, that there were no technical reasons to prevent them from having done so. Although the expedition carried some modern equipment, such as a radio, watches, charts, sextant, and metal knives, Heyerdahl argued they were incidental to the purpose of proving that the raft itself could make the journey.
